Ideally situated off the main road and close to Annecy, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle, this area is a haven of peace for nature lovers. The Lake Annecy cycle path passes just behind the La Ravoire campsite and can be reached in 5 minutes from Les Fontaines and 10 minutes from Lo Velâjo.

How to store your Haute-Savoie wine
Temperature and shelf life of white wines
Savoy white wines, made from grape varieties such as Jacquère, are best kept between 12 and 14°C. Most white wines are best enjoyed young, usually within two or three years of production. With one exception: Roussette! This exceptional white wine can be kept for up to eight years, developing more complex aromas with age.
Conservation of Mondeuse reds
Red wines, especially those made from Mondeuse grapes, gain in depth with age. To preserve their tannic character and spicy aromas, we recommend storing them at a stable temperature of 14-16°C. Mondeuse can be kept in optimal conditions for up to eight years, or even longer.
Preserving sparkling and rosé wines
Sparkling wines from Savoie, like Crémant de Savoie, are best drunk young, to enjoy the sparkle and freshness of their bubbles. They are best stored upright, in a cool, dark cellar. As for rosé wines, they should be enjoyed within two to three years of production, at a storage temperature of between 8 and 10°C.

White wines should be drunk between 8 and 10°C, a temperature that allows the floral and fruity aromas to express themselves fully. Château de Menthon Saint Bernard
History of Château de Menthon
Overlooking Lake Annecy, the Château de Menthon-Saint-Bernard is a fortified house built over 900 years since the medieval era, between the 10th and 19th centuries. Listed as a historic monument, it is one of the most remarkable buildings on Lake Annecy, with a breathtaking view over the lake. It is also one of the most emblematic historic monuments in the Haute Savoie département. Since its construction, it has belonged to the Menthon family, who over the centuries have transformed the medieval fortress into a stately residence. To enter the Château de Menthon is to enter a listed site with a thousand years of history handed down through 23 generations of the same family, and which welcomes 40,000 visitors every year near the town of Annecy in the Auvergne Rhône Alpes region. Some even claim that Walt Disney used its fairy-tale allure to design the castle for Sleeping Beauty. Located 10 km from Annecy and 15 km from the 4-star Annecy La Ravoire and Les Fontaines campsites, Château de Menthon is a must-see for history and architecture buffs visiting the Haute-Savoie region.

Welcome to Château de Menthon, a total immersion in the history of a family and a region on the shores of Lake Annecy, the department’s most famous mountain lake. Even before you step through the gates, you can’t help but breathe in the romance. This feeling comes from the beautiful panoramic views it offers over Lake Annecy and its compact architecture, as if each part were trying to snuggle up to the other. During your visit, you’ll step back in time as you take in the exceptional furnishings, half-timbered galleries and kitchen with its traditional passe-plat. You’ll escape to the owner’s bedroom, with its walls adorned with superb tapestries, the pilgrims’ room and the vast library containing some 12,000 books. Guided tours last around 45 minutes.

Paccard Bell Museum
History of the Paccard bellIn 1796, a blacksmith from Quintal near Annecy was commissioned to build a new bell to replace the one in the village church tower, destroyed during the French Revolution. To carry out his mission, Antoine Paccard called on a professional founder, Jean Baptiste Pitton.
The finished work is a success that delights the inhabitants of this village in Haute-Savoie, near Geneva and Mont Blanc in the Alps. The blacksmith then discovered a new passion. He decided to learn the trade and set up his own bell-founding business: thus was born the Paccard bell foundry. Antoine Paccard passed this love on to his sons, ensuring that the family business would continue.
In the mid-19th century, the foundry moved to Annecy-le-Vieux to take advantage of the many benefits offered by the arrival of the railroads. The new owners, the Paccard family, introduced innovative techniques to produce bells with attractive designs and optimum acoustic quality. Constantly beating the bronze, they created pieces whose sculpture and musicality went hand in hand. The foundry’s reputation grows, and deliveries extend beyond France, with some 800 bells delivered each year by the end of the 19th century.
The Paccard foundry has produced a number of jewels: the Savoyarde in 1891 (France’s largest bell, listed as a historic monument, also known as Françoise Marguerite du Scré Coeur de Jésus), the Jeanne-d’Arc in 1914 for Rouen Cathedral, over 50 bells for the US government in the 1950s, a bell presented to Pope John Paul II and another placed in the Basilica de la Visitation in the old town of Annecy in the 1980s. Today, the Paccard foundry is one of only three bell foundries in France.Visit the bell museum

Less than 15 minutes by car from the La Ravoire and Les Fontaines campsites, this adventure park’s tree-climbing course overlooks Lake Annecy.
There are several tree courses at different levels, suitable for all adventurers from the age of 7:
- Grand Parcours (over 1.40 m): 2 hours of adrenalin with 4 levels of difficulty, several obstacles and 11 suspended zip lines between 5 and 25 m high. Price: between €21 and €26.
- Junior Course (over 1.20 m): A challenging but less vertiginous 2-hour course (less than 15 m high). Price: €21.
- Children’s course (over 1 m): 1 hour of controlled adventure between 2 and 7 m high, with or without a guide, with a lifeline for maximum safety. Price: €16.
- Acro’Ninja (ages 7 and up): a course requiring no special equipment apart from a helmet, during which your children will slide down slides, cross nets, climb rungs and play balancing act. Price: €10 (30 minutes) or €16 (1 hour).

Tactiq Adventure
In Cruseilles, north of Annecy, 35 km from the La Ravoire and Les Fontaines campsites, Tactiq Aventure offers your children over 50 different activities, including zip lines, slides, lianas, nets and footbridges. The park is set in beautiful surroundings, in the heart of the Dronières forest.
On the menu are various courses classified by age and level of difficulty:
- Parcours Vertige (2h30, heights between 4 and 17 m): a complete course that will test your nerve and your appetite for risk.
- Junior course (1h30, height between 3 and 5 m): 25 obstacles to overcome, reserved for cautious adults and children over 1.15 m tall.

Aravis Adventure Park
Welcome to the Aravis mountain range, a 30-minute drive from Annecy campsites.
Aravis Parc d’Aventure has set up two training courses to familiarize you with accrobranche before embarking on the course of your choice:
- Grand Frisson (over 1.40 m)
- Petite Aventure (minimum age 6, over 1.15 m)
- Children’s trail (3-6 years).
Prices: from €21.50 for adults, from €16 for children over 1.40 m, from €13 for children over 1.15 m, €8 for 3-6 year olds.

What’s the difference between your 3 campsites: la Ravoire / les Fontaines / lo Velâjo?
Our three campsites are 4-star family sites, ideal for families looking for a small, friendly campsite to stay at Lake Annecy. All entertainment in July and August ends at 10:30pm at the latest, and we ask for silence from 11:00pm onwards on all three sites to preserve peace and quiet at night.
Les Fontaines is a medium-sized campsite with 174 places. It’s located on a mountainside, and most of its accommodations offer magnificent panoramic views. The large whirlpool waterslide attracts families with older children, while the water playground is for younger children and families with babies. This lively campsite in July and August has a fun, relaxed atmosphere and is suitable for all ages.
La Ravoire is a small 124-place campsite with a friendly village atmosphere. Families with young children up to the age of 12 particularly appreciate this campsite, and the entertainment in July and August is mainly aimed at 5- to 12-year-olds. Children of this age will love the waterslides. If you like small, cosy campsites, this is the campsite for you.
Our brand-new campsite for the 2025 season, Lo Velâjo, is a very small campsite with just 67 brand-new mobile homes. Similar to La Ravoire, this small campsite has a pleasant village atmosphere that families with young children will particularly appreciate. The campsite has a small pool area with a lagoon and water games for young children, but no waterslides. The entertainment program in July and August is aimed primarily at children aged 10 to 12.
Are campsites popular with other nationalities?
Yes, the La Ravoire and Les Fontaines campsites have a varied clientele from different countries, including England and the Netherlands. In high season, July and August, at La Ravoire, the French rate is around 10-20% depending on the week. At Les Fontaines, the French rate is around 40%, with the exception of the last week of July and the first week of August, when the French rate is around 10%.
The reason is that at Lake Annecy, there are very few campsites with 4-star services such as waterslides, entertainment and restaurants. Our campsites book up very quickly, and foreigners generally reserve much earlier than the French. This means that when the French start booking around Christmas and January, there isn’t much availability. We try to have a mix of nationalities as we believe this provides the best atmosphere, but we are limited in our ability to stop online bookings from other countries! If you’re staying at our campsites in July and August – especially in late July and early August – you’ll have to accept the fact that there are few French guests on site.
At Lo Velâjo, we expect there to be more French people on the campsite this summer than at Ravoire and Les Fontaines because the campsite doesn’t yet have any regulars and availability will still be there when the French book in January, so no worries about the above question at Lo Velâjo for 2025!
How far are the campsites from the lake?
La Ravoire campsite is set in a quiet location off the main road, 1 km / 20 min walk from Doussard Plage.
Les Fontaines campsite is set in a quiet location off the main road, 1.3 km / 25 min walk from Doussard Plage.
Camping Lo Velâjo is 2 km from Lake Annecy. This can be reached on foot or by bike via the “chemin des écureuils”, just below the campsite in 30 minutes.
How far are the campsites from Annecy?
The 3 campsites are located 20 km south of Annecy, near the Doussard beach at the end of the lake. Annecy is accessible by car, bus, bike or boat, depending on your preferences. However, we recommend that you opt for the last-mentioned solutions, so you don’t have to worry about parking and traffic.
Can I use the water park at the other two campsites if I’m staying at one?
No, both for insurance reasons and for customer comfort. Civil liability insurance will not cover a claim for someone who does not have a customer invoice at the campsite.
What’s more, our water parks are designed for the number of pitches on our campsites. That’s why we don’t open them to outsiders, even if they’re staying on our other sites.
Can several families come in a group?
To ensure the peace and quiet of all our guests, we do not accept groups of more than 3 families. If you would like to stay together, please contact reception beforehand to discuss the possibilities of organization.

A clean and welcoming campsite!
Ideally located, close to the lake and the cycle path, we had an excellent stay in this clean and welcoming campsite. Our pitches were large and easy to get to, with a bit of shade to boot. The swimming pool is very pretty and the solarium is very nice! All the staff were pleasant and smiling. Thank you very much!

Camping Les fontaines
Dream vacations… at the fountains
The kids found the campsite GREAT! Even when they were very young, our grandchildren were able to be “independent”. Not a minute to be bored, especially in this fine weather. We’d like to thank the team for their availability and friendliness. The big slide was the highlight of our vacation: height, speed, disco atmosphere, just the right amount of adrenalin!

Camping Les fontaines
A real surprise!
Our Pentecost weekend at Les Fontaines was a real surprise from the moment we arrived, thanks to the friendly staff. The campsite was peaceful, and the two pool areas with slides were great. The safari tent was clean, had great views and was well equipped. The possibility of renting bikes for everyone was a major advantage for our group of 11, including 7 children. The staff were very welcoming, the location was beautiful and close to the lake. We highly recommend this experience! And thanks to reception for the arrival gift 😉
