OUR HISTORY<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

It all began in 1984 when Andr\u00e9 Rulland bought a meadow on a mountainside from his family, at a place called \u201cLes Fontaines\u201d. He built a small sanitary block and opened Les Fontaines campsite in the summer of 1985. He and his wife Sylviane are expecting twins in November. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Andr\u00e9 works as a precision mechanic in Doussard and spends all his spare time working and camping.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The following year, in 1986, the couple opened a grocery store on the campsite, so that campers didn’t have to go all the way to the village of Doussard for supplies. The following winters, they dug a swimming pool and built a restaurant. In 1991, Andr\u00e9 stopped his double activity to devote himself full-time to the campsite. The reception and second sanitary block were built. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The slides were installed in 1998, and were the first around Lake Annecy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2002, Les Fontaines was equipped with a real water park, featuring a paddling pool, mushrooms and whirlpools next to the slides.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Rullands hire seasonal workers and then permanent employees to ensure continuity and serenity in the business and customer service. Fabrice helps Andr\u00e9 withhis work and repairs, Denise takes care of reception and Christine is in charge of housekeeping. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The twins grew up, and in 2012, the Rulland family bought the La Ravoire campsite, 600 meters from Les Fontaines. Each of the boys will manage his own establishment while pooling their resources. Every winter, new work is carried out to improve the campsites’ infrastructure. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The team is growingwith 12 permanent staff by 2024<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n <\/path>\n <\/path>\n <\/path>\n<\/svg>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

And 40 years after laying the foundation stone at Les Fontaines, the Rullands acquired a third campsite in Lathuile. This was the first campsite at the end of the lake, created in 1965 by Yvonne, the grandmother of Fabrice, our Fabrice, who has been working at Les Fontaines for 25 years. Returning to his roots, Fabrice will ensure that Vel\u00e2jo runs smoothly, and our new campsite will be inaugurated in July 2025! <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
