Class\u00e9 monument historique, il constitue l\u2019un des \u00e9difices les plus remarquables du lac d\u2019Annecy et b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie d&#8217;une vue sur le lac imprenable. C&#8217;est \u00e9galement l&#8217;un des monuments historiques embl\u00e9matiques\u00a0du d\u00e9partement de la\u00a0Haute Savoie. Il appartient depuis sa construction \u00e0 la famille Menthon qui, au fil des si\u00e8cles, a transform\u00e9 la forteresse m\u00e9di\u00e9vale en r\u00e9sidence seigneuriale. Entrer dans le ch\u00e2teau de Menthon, c\u2019est p\u00e9n\u00e9trer dans un site class\u00e9 avec mille ans d\u2019histoire transmis par 23 g\u00e9n\u00e9rations d\u2019une m\u00eame famille, et qui accueille chaque ann\u00e9e 40 000 visiteurs pr\u00e8s de la ville d&#8217;Annecy en r\u00e9gion Auvergne Rh\u00f4ne Alpes. Certains pr\u00e9tendent m\u00eame que Walt Disney aurait repris son allure f\u00e9erique pour dessiner le ch\u00e2teau de La Belle au Bois Dormant. Even before you step through the gates, you can&#8217;t help but breathe in the romance. This feeling comes from the beautiful panoramic views it offers over Lake Annecy and its compact architecture, as if each part were trying to snuggle up to the other. During your visit, you&#8217;ll step back in time as you take in the exceptional furnishings, half-timbered galleries and kitchen with its traditional passe-plat. You&#8217;ll escape to the owner&#8217;s bedroom, with its walls adorned with superb tapestries, the pilgrims&#8217; room and the vast library containing some 12,000 books. Guided tours last around 45 minutes.     <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rates and opening hours<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Ch\u00e2teau de Menthon is open to the public from April to November.<br\/><br\/>Opening days and times vary according to the season:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>April 1 to November 11 (except July\/August): 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>July-August: daily from 12:00 to 19:00<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Price of guided tour of the castle :<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Visitors over 16: \u20ac9.50<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Children aged 6 to 16: \u20ac5<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under 6s: Free<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Optional tours: gardens 2 \u20ac, kitchen garden 100 \u20ac for groups of 15 people<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>On weekends and public holidays, the tour is led by actors, except in October and November.<\/p>\n\n<p>Do you like the local heritage?
